
Sandra Garcia
Artist
Sandra Garcia is a Cuban visual artist whose work explores the tension between memory and transformation. A graduate of the Roberto Diago Professional Art School with a focus on Printmaking, she has balanced artistic creation with a strong dedication to arts education.
She taught at the same institution from 2003 to 2007 and later served as Head of the Printmaking Department (2018–2023). Her career also includes design work for Ediciones Vigía and decorative projects for Cuban hotels.
Her creative journey has been marked by both collective and solo exhibitions in cultural institutions across Cuba, including:
- First Prize – Roberto Diago Student Salon (2001)
- German Embassy Group Exhibition (2005)
- With Gray Resting on the Body – UNEAC Gallery (2002)
- Dreams in Dim Light – Roberto Massager Gallery (2006)
- Printmaking Exhibition – Oscar Maria de Rojas Museum (2007)
Today, Sandra Garcia’s works form part of private collections in Spain, Italy, and the United States, echoing her belief that art is both vessel and vision, a path toward a more conscious and awakened future.
